I’m Elena Svirko, a data analyst with a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and 12+ years of experience turning complex data into decisions — across healthcare, behavioral research, and now deep tech and AI.

I’m currently a consultant for SPhotonix, a University of Southampton spin-out developing next-generation optical data storage, where I serve as the company’s data analyst — supporting strategy and marketing through market research, consumer survey analysis, and AI-assisted knowledge base development. Alongside this, I work in AI model evaluation and training, contributing to the improvement of large language models through structured evaluation, prompt engineering, and quality assessment.

My background spans over a decade of academic research and statistical consulting at Oxford — from national healthcare workforce studies of 60,000+ doctors to longitudinal developmental research — with 20+ peer-reviewed publications, all with statistical analyses I conducted myself. In 2025 I completed the CareerFoundry Data Analytics program, adding Python, SQL, Tableau, and machine learning to my long-standing SPSS and statistical modeling expertise.
